So I have transferred my silkie chicks to their permanent outside coop and run. I am cleaning up their brooding box I would just like to know what you guys use for disinfecting everything so that it’s ready for future chicks. Also would like to use for the coop etc. I up for input on commercial products and homemade recipes.
So far I’ve seen recipe for white vinegar with orange peels soaked for a month.
Thanks!

Sun light helps kill bacteria. But bacteria won't live in a cleaned out container for very long anyway. Clean out the mess and the bacteria will have nothing to feed upon. :)

Unless you've had disease, I would not worry about disinfecting.
Best to keep things dry.
I don't use any 'cleaning products' except on waterers,
and that's only twice a year with hot water and dish soap, maybe some bleach.
