Dislocated jaw or broken jaw in young chick? solutions?

This is a 1 month old hatchery polish chick which has a dislocated?? or broken lower jaw. Is there something that can be done to straighten it? The bird is eating and drinking on it's own and we did not notice the issue until last week. Please give me some ideas or should we just humanely put this bird down?

I should add that this chick is not used to flash photography and was a bit upset at the whole photo shoot! (I can't really blame it).

Hey there was wondering if you found anything out about your chicks dislocated jaw. I got up this morning and one of my Americana's has the exact same thing. She is eating, drinking and even pecking at other chicks.....so I am assuming it is not hurting her. I did try moving it back but it didn't stay. I did move their pen yesterday....maybe she was injured during the move???? Anyone know what to do?

I have a 2 week old EE chick with a dislocated or broken lower jaw on one side. I have no idea how. I'm assuming she face-planted in the frolicking with the 5 other chicks. Seems to be drinking ok. Attempting to eat but I'm not sure how much is actually getting swallowed.

I want to know if you were able to do anything about chick with broken jaw. I have one with severely broken and it's not able to eat enough. Brother and sisters are almost double her weight now.

Help! I just found one of my chicks with the same injury. I found her trying to pick up pellets on the ground and not able to so i put her in a kennel with chick crumbles. I'm still not sure if she is able to eat as she is just making a big mess trying to eat. She's gone to sleep now. Has anyone seen a chicken recover from this?

How long has she been like this?

Is it possible that she was born like this (with a crossed beak) and you are just now seeing it develop? Sometimes as small chicks, it can go unnoticed and develop slowly over time. Crossed Beak is a genetic deformity.

To help her eat, wet her chick starter - sometime this is much easier to "scoop" than trying to pick up individual crumbles.

How did this happen? - I'm not sure how it happened, possibly running into a fence? The female guinea has been laying on some eggs and the male has been extra grouchy, chasing everyone around. I just noticed her beak today when I was filling everyones waters.

How long has she been like this? - 1 day, 2 at the most.
