Sorry about that but not all vets are well versed on turkeys and their leg issues. One thing that gives you a clue is the vet using the term born when the appropriate term is hatched.

Extend the leg fully. Feel and see if you can move the tendon back into the groove on the back of the hock. If you can do that, the next step is to secure the tendon in place. You may have to fashion a brace that you can tape in place. Be sure to not tape too tightly.

You can try doing a search for treating a turkey on Dr. Oakley Yukon Vet. There at at least two episodes where they showed the same BBW turkey being treated for slipped tendon.

If you cannot manipulate the tendon back in place, I recommend culling the turkey. As it grows the condition will only get worse and it won't be long before it can't get around.
