My 12 week old RIR rooster seems to have a dislocated hock? Don’t know how it happened. Just noticed it about a week ago. Thought maybe just weak and beginning to free range would help. So far it hasn’t. Anyone know what I can do to help him? Tried to upload a video but keeps telling me it’s too large....
You can post your video on YouTube, and then post a link here. Many chickens can have leg bone deformities, such as varus valgus or TD deformities, and as they grow, the hock tendon can rupture. Some try splinting, or you can see a vet for help. Many times there is no treatment that works. A lot of people call them slipped tendons, but that is really not usually the cause. Here is some reading about these deformities: https://www.researchgate.net/public..._of_the_Intertarsal_Joint_in_Broiler_Chickens
