displaced airsac

just candled all 14 silkie eggs so i could place them in the bator for the 1st time. 8 of them had displaced airsacs....and a lot of the eggs were quite porous. and a couple of them looked like the yolk was floating around cuz i saw something kinda dark that was moving when i turned the egg. how does this batch sound to you guys? not good? they were shipped, of course.

a displced airsac more often then not hatches but its just that. its less like ly to. put them in and see. very porous eggs however arent good to incubate.

if the air bubble will travel all the way to the pointy end it won't grow. If it is only slightly down the side then they may still hatch if it is otherwise good. As for the others it is hard without seeing them. I would put in bator and just keep an eye(and nose) on them. good luck

thanks guys.....i'll give em' a chance....candle on day 10 i think.....chunk what's not growing. what will happen if i continue to incubate the porous ones? if there's a chick in there growing, should i continue with those eggs? or should i chunk the porous ones now?

it really depends on how bad it looks. I have had them slightly porous that did fine

. If they don't smell I stick them in the bator and sniff daily when I turn. I figure I can always pull them. I have only had to pull one so far that smelled, everything else was obvious that it needed to be taken out. I had one that looked very porous and it didn't even start to develop so I tossed it at day 7. Not being able to see the eggs myself makes it hard to give advice....
