Dissatisfied with care received?

My Lord such horror stories............ makes me more determined to try and stay as healthy as possible, and if sick would rather try and heal myself... I have little faith in hospitals etc these days....

No the funny part would be wearing one of those big plastic cones around my neck for a couple weeks.

i have something called Chiari Malformation and our hospital here SUCKS!

I was diagnosed over 3 years ago after having severe migranes since i was five.. and being told all these years that it was all in my head and i was making it up .. welll yeah it is all in my head LOL my cerebellum was herniated out the base of my skull 9mm!!!!! GAH

so i usually have to go to the ER for pain meds when i have a bad migrane... codiene (SP) doesnt work.. i was on it for many years because of the made up migranes (sarcastic)

i had surgery in march of 06 to remove some of my skull to releive the pressure....

i went to the ER 2 weeks after being discharged from the same hospital i had the surgery in, and hubby gave them a note from my Neurosurgen....

the DR there told me i was making it up and that there was NOTHING called ACM(Arnold Chiari Malformation) never mind the fact i had a fresh scar from the top of the back of my head to hust past my shoulders... and i told them to call my NS and they said that its too late and its not emergency . they refused to call him!! GAHH. Never mind the fact that i was in somuch pain i was throwing up and i couldnt see straight. i told them to kill me i couldnt stand the pain. we left that hospital and went to another one about 40 miles away where they addmitted me for and infection and spinal fluid pooling in my skull!! UGH now i stay home if i can and just call the NS as soon as he opens so he can meet me at the ER so the DRs there dont think im a druggy ( which i have been called NUMEROUS times)
