Distemper virus

Here in the USA, before distemper vaccinations were so commonly used, many many puppies died of this disease! Maybe where distemper is so common, mother dogs who have survived, and have maternal antibodies for their puppies, some protection matters for them.
Here most distemper vaccines are a combination, also including canine hepatitis, parainfluenza, coronovirus, and often parvovirus and the four leptospirosis types most often affecting dogs (in the USA).
It's been great for dogs and their owners here!

Ive had many of my pets die my rabbit my peacocks but this one is the hardest she is still alive but there is no hope. I've never lost a dog this way. Seeing her like this is very heartbreaking. Everyone should vaccinate their dogs for distemper. The vet said that this infection is uncommon in puppies so the mom probably got it during her pregnancy or before her pregnancy.
Uncommon in puppies??? Really?? In my experience puppies are the ones that are most susceptible. I am sorry about your dog.

Unfortunately that's usually the case. Puppies just don't have a strong enough immune system to survive it without 24/7 constant supportive care, and even then the odds are very low. So sorry for your loss. Hope things get better for you.
Not only are puppies unlikely to survive distemper, if they do, more often than not they are left with lifelong disabilities and neurological issues.

In your country it may not be as rampant as here in the USA. Or maybe they don't think so because many don't go to the Vet.
Adults will survive this but puppies don't .
Many in the USA don't go to the vet either. I was totally appalled when I moved from Mass to TX where the majority don't Alter the dogs sex, vaccinate or use flea treatment. Their dogs are left outside all the time. Sorry if your dog is not inside with you at night then it is not a Pet, it's livestock. And even livestock deserve not to be eaten alive by fleas/ticks.

We use flea and tick treatment on our dog he is mostly outside in the garden and the veranda he is allowed inside when it's too cold or too hot or when he gets nervous cuz of fireworks. In pakistan it's alot worse for dogs people in villages and even some in cities towns etc keep them chained all day outside no matter wht how cold or hot it is outside and currently all these housing societies are killing strays very inhumanely they either poison them or shoot them bash them in the head. They also killed some people pet dogs with collars! Cuz of this we keep shadow mostly inside now 😬
