Diving back in- but chickens won’t live with me, thoughts?

I own 2 acres about 6-8 minutes away. Since I live in a subdivision, I am planning to have 4-6 hens on my lot instead. I plan to go out every other day, or every 2-3 days day to tend and collect eggs once they start laying. We will have a super secure run, and auto door. Anyone see any issues with this plan? Anything I am not thinking about? When we had our flock before, they were right in our backyard at our prior house :)
Doesn't sound like you really even want to raise chickens! Find someone in your area that can commit to selling you eggs when not molting/winter slow down. Your chickens need tending and observing, and you won't be there for them.

People do the best they can. Let's not be judgmental.

The problem with auto pop doors is that they fail occasionally. I have one that is battery operated, and the probability of me remembering to check the batteries is about zero. So the door stayed open - or closed - on a few occasions for days. Fortunately there are two pop doors (had to divide the coop in half for a while) and one is solar. Still waiting to find out what can go wrong with that one! And I have two wifi cameras in th coop, I think you absolutely must find a camera that will work form your home if you want any peace of mind. Unless you really don't care about the chickens at all, and are just looking for egg production machines.

My coop door is always open. I have an old shower curtain in the run which acts as a windbreak so it doesn't get too windy in the coop.

I also don't have a camera. Oddly, I very much care about my chickens. All circumstances are not the same. We all do what we can.
