Divorce.....Yikes!

Sometimes two people have to go through trials and tribulations separately so that when their paths cross again, they can be who they are supposed to be with each other. I know this first hand. Hubby and I dated in HS, I loved him, but I was young, we split up went our separate ways and found each other again 20 years later. That was back in 2000, we both still loved each other but our lives and love is much richer now because of what we went through when we were apart.

As far as those church people go, you have to take it for what it is worth that is quite often ZERO. This coming from a Christian woman. The bible DOES state that divorce is allowed for abuse, adultery, and a few other things we all find deplorable. I too had a horrid marriage, divorced and decided not to bring another man into the house until my child was 16. It worked out. I met Ken when my boy was 18, asnd we are now a family.

Its a very smart move to wait to find or marry another man until your youngest child is 16 or 18. Too many homes been broken after that "Brady Bunch" dream went out of the window.

Sounds like you are truely happy! I went through something similar with a very long-term relationship. When my now husband came into my life very shortly after my other relationship had ended, EVERY person we encountered gave us the third degree. I had more girlfriends giving me advice about when I should and shouldn't be ready for a new relationship. When you know, you know. There is no better feeling. Congrats.

My family has noticed, my friends REALLY noticed.

You won't hear me badmouth my ex, I'm just not that way. I do respect her and her feelings.

Though, she doesn't share the same sentiment.....
