IMO, if you have other ducks and there's a chance this one will breed, he should be culled. You don't want to pass on bad genetics.

As stated in my post, I will not be killing this bird plain and simple. Yes I have other ducks, no I will not be hatching more

I am thankful that you have the time to put into this poor duckie. You are a blessing for it and I am so happy to hear that it will not be culled just because of a defect. Thank heavens we have people that are willing to help handicapped animals. You are a Saint in my book!

My mom makes them for me from neoprene can cozies, her pattern just looks like a duck foot only bigger and she puts Velcro all the way down one side and on the cuff. She whips them up pretty quickly, must not be super complex.
