DIY CHICKEN KIT

Ok, I wanted to make a thred on what you would put in a chicken kit. Like, what do you think would be handy to have at all times in a "kit" for shows and for everyday chicken keeping.

A few things that we keep are Vet RX, Nail clippers, Emory board (or file), Baby wipes.

This is what I would put in mine:
A chicken diaper
A chicken saddle
A chicken sweater
Mite killing dust
Mite killing spray
A antibacterial ointment
Bactine
Light pet shampoo
Leg bands
Sharpie
And the list goes on and on and on

My everyday supply list is a whole lot bigger than my son's show supply list.

Do you need to file chickens nails.?

It really depends where you let your chickens roam. If they can get to concrete or some rocks and they file them theirselves then no. If the don get to file them theirselves then most likely yes. I usually use dog nail clippers on my bantams but my standards nails don't seem to grow.

Do you need to file chickens nails.?

If you plan on showing, sometimes you may need to trim their beaks and toenails and you don't want rough edges on their beaks.

And, if you do want to trim their nails be carful not to clip them off too close. You may cut into blood!

I'll provide like bricks in their cage thing, but I clip my dogs nails all the time so I probably would clip theirs
