Here are some of the plans I drew today in my free time, my mom wants to build the coop off of our shed and my dad wants the run to sort of wrap around the coop and around a tree so the chickens have some natural shade. I planned on having around 6-7 Sq ft for each chicken (6) in the run and 4-5 Sq ft inside the coop... Is that a good amount of room or do I need lots more?

Is it hard to install nipple watering systems?

Not at all. The hardest part I found was rounding up all the parts I needed. I have installed a toilet fill valve in the bucket that is fed by the garden hose. Then the water is gravity fed to the nipple bars. I seriously havnt had to touch it in 4 months except to move it a higher as the chicks grew.

OK, guys, i am SO sorry i haven't kept you updated on this thread! i have been so busy starting to plan out my coop and with school it is so busy around here! I layed out some big pieces of wood we had lying around from our old fire pit in the backyard and some other random stuff to make a life sized display! it was kinda fun i have to admit...lol we made it a little bigger than in the pictures i am gonna post but i will post the pictures and measurements with my family's iPad because our computer is SO slow! so i will get these pics up as fast as i can today and if you want to give me some advice on like, if it too small or and other adjustments i should make.

this is an outline of the coop we are gonna build this winter. the measurements are 25 feet long and 12 feet wide for the run, and the coop is 6 feet wide and 10 feet long. we are going to build it off that white shed but we are not using those skids. i know realize that the coop outline looks smaller than it is in real life sorry! lol
