DIY Incubator Help

I want to make an incubator out of an old mini fridge. What would I use to cut part of the door out so I can add plexiglass to it? I want to be able to see in the incubator without opening the door.

I would think a saws all would work for this. Check this link out and ask some of those who have done it.

Yeah, get this thread moved to the Incubating and Hatching Eggs section of the forum (or start another one there), that is where the DIY incubator geeks hang out

That said: I did a somewhat similar thing, and just did the standard "drill big holes at all 4 corners of the rectangle you want to cut out, then use a power jigsaw to connect the dots" and it worked fine for me. If I recall correctly I ended up doing it in two steps, one to cut the hole out of the outer hard plastic skin and a second set of cuts to go thru the hard plastic inner lining. There was cheap styrofoam in between, and I *highly* recommend doing this somewhere you won't be too disturbed to have five trillion eensy white bits of electrostatically-charged styrofoam kibble going all over and being more or less impossible to fully clean up

I turned mine so that the door (that I put the viewing window in) became the top of the incubator.
