DIY incubator questions

I used both of them and the digital is better and I have to throw away the water heater thermostat. If you can get US made one, it will solve your problems.

I got the light and thermostat hooked up. So basically all I have to do is position the stuff, put the glass in, make a PVC turner, and regulate it while I wait to get enough eggs.

How does the turner no turn, unless you want it to? I thought it would swing around? Or does the edge of the egg carton hold it??

I used ideas from these 2 people. Turner#1 and Turner #2 I did my own modifications. Just make sure that before you cut the holes in the cooler that they are high enough from the floor so that when you turn the turner the eggs end up being at a good angle. I used an elbow pvc joint in the back and a T connector(handle) in the front to keep the straight pipe (axis) from sliding through.Because my turner is longer on one side than the other it does "swing" by itself. All I did was drill 2 small holes on the outside front of the cooler (above the top of the handle) to insert a small piece of wooden dowel. The dowel acts as a stop for the handle and the turner stays in position.

The eggs I am collecting to hatch I should be turning them right? Is just flipping the carton back and forth okay?
