DIY incubator temp vs egg temp

Built an incubator out of a fridge. It keeps a tight 100 degrees all day and night. Put eggs in a turner and it’s still keeping at 100 and 45% humidity but when I check the egg temp on the shell with my temp gun the eggshell is at 108 degrees. Is that normal?

Eggs are veined. Have 2 different thermometers confirming temp

Is your temp gun accurate? If they are developing I should think it's ok.

Look up Egg O Meter on Amazon? It's a great tool for incubating eggs. It's an egg shaped thermometer that reads internally like an egg. In other words it tells you the temperature inside your eggs.

I have 2 of them.

Okay, they're pre-calibrated, so you won't have to worry about calibrating them.
