I sold my store bought expensive LG bator a while ago. I've been reading everyone's posts and I had to make an incubator tonight.
I used an old styro cooler, light I had[need to find a smaller watt bulb], aluminum tape and a glass pane.
Will get a picture of it tomorrow!

Do you think a 40watt bulb is too much? How many watts should it have?
Any tips for me? I will be adding a pc fan tomorrow. Gonna start saving the 2 eggs a day I get from my Jap mix sisters.

2-3 15watt bulbs is better to me you can spread the heat out a little better and if 1 bulb burns out you are left with at least another one working

A thermostat to regulate temps...can I get it at Walmart or Target? What section is it in, brand I need? Do I need anything to go along with that?

As for 2+ bulbs, will 'upgrade' as I can.

I'm going to use a fan from my PC[computer]
I'm also gonna experiment with different watt bulbs until I can find a system that regulates heat[plug n play type] under $10.

I'm painting mine...lol.
Brown with a bit of teal blue.
White is just so ugly and gets dirty way too easy..

a lower water heater thermostat (from menards or the like), check out my page (egg-u-bator) as to how to connect it to your light. (theres a diagram
