DIY Thread - Let's see your "Inventions".

Same here, 5 nipples (because I put a 4' pipe in the bottom of the nest box). I've never seen more than a couple drinking at the same time and they don't hang out reading magazines after they drink so there isn't a line (or queue for the British readers).

I have experienced this only in relation to anything that involves power tools. I have not had men wanting to "take over" when I am in the kitchen making biscuits ;)

Umm I have issues when I fire up my HD kitchen aid mixer, the guys want to run it. They also had to check out my last new sewing machine.Good grief, what will happen if I ever get a Bridgeport mill. I will need to lock up the collets and chuck.

One of the good things about my hubbie back in the day(long, long time ex) is that he reveled in my power tool prowess,
bragged how easy and awesome buying tools for gifts was. He could/would cook and clean too, he was an auto mechanic but not great at fixing stuff around the house so I did it.
'Gender roles' are ridiculous, often confining and discriminatory....people are people and everyone has certain skill sets.

I do believe I have been duly chastised.
No need to feel 'chastised'...maybe 'enlightened' would be a better word?

One thing I love the most about forums, and reading books, is it exposes us to perspectives we might not ever otherwise experience.
