Thanks! I think my coop is too small for it right now. Our 4'x4' converted dog house has a hen and four 5 week olds. I'll be needing a bigger coop but this is our starter coop.

This isn't really an invention, just an idea for a brooder. Its an old playpen we had from our first child. It worked out well. It was big enough for them to use one side to cool off if they got too hot under the lamp. They didn't use the lamp all that often being in Florida in the garage.

love the playpen idea! the lift-out mattress must make it easier to clean.

Yep! The whole bottom just lifts right out minus a few stray pine chips.

Well, now I wish we hadn't gotten rid of all our baby gear. The crib could have been used in the coop, and the playpen brooder idea is pretty cool.

That wouldn't be awkward at all haha If you watch the curb side you will see a lot of them especially older cribs b/c of all he recalls.

how can the crib be used? I have an extra crib sitting around in pieces, and if I can put it to use that would be fantastic!
