I have the book Fresh Eggs Daily and she recommends different things to feed to keep worms away. I think pumpkin is one of them. I will need to see. Herbs are good for a lot of things too.
That is a neat idea. I bought a heat plate. I bought baby parrots years ago and the breeder just laughed about people keeping their birds draft free (even as adults). She kept her babies warm but didn't worry about drafts. She pointed out that when a bird flies it gets pretty drafty.

I have kitties that I need to keep out of my brooder. I'm using a box inside my metal dog crate. I'm putting plastic garden netting around it to keep the babies in. I need to get my coop built ASAP so they can go outside as soon as the weather permits. My chicks are coming the end of the month.
