That is super clever and attractive looking too!!! I might have to do something like that! I've been debating on how to cover our run and the biggest problem is that it's located under a neighbor's tree, so I'm afraid if we use poultry netting it will just catch leaves and we'd have to clean it up. The leaves could go right through this, but keep the hawks out! Love it!!!  How long did it take you to string all of that up?

I would plant morning glories and let them go crazy on all those wires, would provide some shade too. :D

My chicken yard is kind of wide open and boring so I pulled some old hollowed out cedar stumps out of the woods and put them together as a sort of jungle gym.

LOVE using the old stumps. And they're so easy...you don't have to do anything but put them there if you already have them!

I use them both indoors and outdoors.

I used to have one of those ramps with the cross pieces of wood as a walkway down from the chicken house. Then after observing I saw that they were getting foot pad injuries from sliding on that ramp. So...I replaced them with the old logs.

Very easy for them to stride right up and down and no more foot injuries. Even the little chicks just hop right up them.

Hubby made an auto waterer for the rabbitry. Waters 20 cages at the moment.

Can it be connected to a timer?
Can I have the link to check it out?

I bought this from harbor freight, I would not recommend to anyone. It has a pull cord, it doesn't come on at dusk automatically. It does not hold up to the elements either. If you had better luck congrats, this is just my 2 cents. It is still hanging above the doorway if the barn, time to remove it. :( FYI we love HF and spend lots of money there, this was our only poor purchase.

I love HF, too, but I've gotten a couple of bad things there. I got solar LED outdoor lights for the chicken yard. I liked that it stored energy and had a movement senser that came on with movement and go off a couple of minutes later. I bought 3. All 3 lasted a week or so. Got condensation in them. Not weather tight. I also got a reciprocating saw that wouldn't cut soft butter. Other things were great.
