DIY Thread - Let's see your "Inventions".

@FloridaHen I've made a few large versions of this type of feeder and plan on making smaller ones with my scrap. I can let you know about the diffeferent ones I build.

Great thank you, I plan on doing a overhaul and raise my coop up and a new roof if I ever figure out how t build one this summer....lol

@farmerbrowne We already had the rubbermaid sitting around collecting dust. It had a crack in it so my hubbs could no longer use it for his business. I duct taped the crack. The foam coolers were like $10 a piece, and because I spoil them I splurged and duct taped in some small pet heat pads. I only spent $20 for the coolers because I had the rest on hand. The heat pads were the pricey part but obviously not essential.

It took 10 days but I read every post. Sooooo many wonderful ideas for anyone new to chickens. Begged my hubby for chickens for 3 years. Finally got my way just a few weeks ago. Thanks for the great inventions.

I'll be quite and find another thread or twelve to read now. ;)

I have learned a ton over the last 3 years from people here.

I made a heating pad brooding thing with some wire fencing, and the natural curve was perfect--for when the chicks are bigger

By the time I realized my mistake, I already had the chicks, they were announcing rather loudly that they were cold, and I had to leave for work in less than 15 minutes

My solution?
