DIY Wall-mounted dispenser for crushed oyster shell (or similar goodies)

Hi, all, in a couple of threads recently I mentioned or was asked about this, so here is a photo of the simple mounted bowl I made by cutting down a one gallon vinegar bottle.



As you can see, it's been in use for some time. I sometimes toss mealworms or cat kibble into it - it is for dry materials. All the bowls I have tried have ended up turned over or pooped in. Only once in several months has anyone been able to hoist herself up enough to poo in here.

That is genius! Mine are still only little so just going in their run during the day but their food gets knocked over all the time. Thanks for this tip.

Thank you for posting this! I'm going to try to make something similar for my ducklings, but maybe I'll try using a large pill bottle (properly cleaned) so it won't take up as much room in their brooder.

My ducklings poop in everything (when all a creature does is eat, sleep, and poop, I guess pooping turns into a sport? ) and a container like yours would at least make pooping in it more of a challenge lol.
