DIY waterer out of black barrel

^^^ I'm collecting rainwater in a 275 gal tote. Overflow to a second 275 gal tote. and expecting that for the couple days it gets what passes for cold around here, I will likely have to bypass my pvc lines and get water straight trom the totes.

But North FL doesn't get much below freezing often, and it doesn't stay there long, so I don't need to take more extreme measures.

Is this just to store the water or are the nipples attached to barrel?

Vids need to be uploaded to youtube, then linked here.
I wanted to make a waterer out of it. No nipples. My chickens dont like the cups , but I havent tried nipples. I want to make it into a gravity feed where it goes into the ring around the bottom of the container. I might get a smaller barrel, 20 gallons. If I can find one, or just use a 5 gallon bucket. Putting some golf balls in the ring might help break up ice. We are still batting around ideas. I just need a bigger waterer.
