She might have injured herself if it was high enough.

When did this happen, how many days ago?
Was she off balance immediately afterwards?

To me it coincides with it more closely but my wife thinks she was this way and that’s why she fell. It was only about 2-1/2 to 3 ft from the ground but there was a wood ledge and the metal nesting boxes nest to it. It seems that I noticed afterwards. It happened a few days before I posted.

My wife has been worried about mareks cause it could kill her and all the rest of our chickens.

At her age, also, I would try to rule out Mareks. The best way to do that, is to have your state vet do a necropsy if you should lose her. There are a couple of labs in the US who will do a blood test for Mareks on a live bird. Here is a list of state vets to contact, but hopefully, she has just had an injury instead of this disease:
