DLM and fertilizer

I'm planning on doing the dlm in the run. Yard waste wood chips. I've read dry out the grass clippings and throw it in. Since this is my first year here is my question. I have always fertilized my lawn. They have said not to do this and I probably won't now. But another product I have used in the past is malorganite. Is this ok to still use?

I probably wouldn't after reading what it is. I don't dry out my grass clippings. I just make sure not to add too much at one time. No thicker than an inch.
