DNA Testing Equipment??

Interested in learning DNA testing for chickens but am totally not sure where to start on learning nor what all the equipment is called.

I've found one that's a miniPCR machine.

Anyone have any pointers?

There may be some here that do DNA testing, but I only know of one personally, and the only one I've ever gone to, @2ndTink

I got my set up through Chick Check, www.chickcheck.us you just make an account, then do the Chick Check Yourself, select what equipment group you want (it's based on the number of tests you will run at one time) and you have to add the class when you buy the equipment. It will be a video call where you will go step by step through the whole process.

It's a bit of a financial commitment up front but then you have so much flexibility to test your own birds whenever.

If you do go through Chick Check, you buy your lab equipment through there in a bundle, and then you buy your pipette tips, pcr tubes, pcr tube holder and such through ebay or Amazon.
