Me again... my 6 week old guineas are outside in a large off the ground brooder/pen with a large wooden box type thing on one end and the rest mesh wire.. the have a perch going across the run part where they sleep at night.. it is in the 80's during the day and nights are high 60' or low 70's... the other night it was 58... how long do they need the heat lamp? i have it in the run part at night, with nylon tent material pinned up as a windbreaker.. it had rained some lately.. anyway..( it is too hot in the box with the light) when can i leave the light off? what does the temp have to be at night? everyone thinks im nuts for still putting the light on as they are getting big. i read they are not fully feathered until 8 weeks. thank you in advance.
