Hey I am getting pekin ducklings and I know they need extra niacin (I'm using brewers yeast) sprinkled in their food as ducklings but do they need it as adults? They will be fed chicken layer feed when they are fully grown. Thanks!!

Might have to supplement some as adults too just be sure to give it to them as ducklings and then you'll just have to keep close eye on them after they are adults Poor lil legs have a hard time keeping up with that fast growing body. I put Nutritional yeast in my adults birds feed 1X a week.

Mine are not yet adults
They are five weeks but we are doing the same at least once a week

5 week old duckling need the extra niacin every day until at least 10 weeks old if feeding anything other than duck starter.

And this is a kind of stupid question, but I just mix a sprinkling of Brewer's Yeast in the food, right?

Thanks!! And while we're on the subject...since this is my first time raising ducks...is it normal for my 1 week old pekins to have a bit of dry, scaly skin on their feet/legs?
