Do all the chicks hatch in one day?

Hello!!

We had our first broody hen hatch her first two chicks this morning!! My question is, how long do we wait on the remaining eggs to hatch? Does the hatching happen over one day or many? Help all you ppl in the know!

It partially depends on if they were set at the same time, but it is not unusual for hatches to go two days or more. The mama will stay there until all the viable ones are out.

For chickens it can take 21-25 days! but it's advised to candle over due at day 23

9 left. One exploded when we grazed it with a hand this morning. So we are just wondering if we will have any others do that.

Candle them ! Rotten or dead eggs can explode do check the other ones are still alive!
