No one I know of really makes a living off animals. I'd suggest you look around your local area and see what's being done already, what your area can support. Plus, as stated, animals don't take sick days or vacation, they get injured/sick/just up and die, etc. Unless you're already very experienced in a specific animal and have a good idea of what your area can support, I'd look into another means of support.
