do bantam chicken eggs actually hatch early

I set five bantam eggs (two OEG and three buff japanese) under a hen on April 14th. Much to my surprise two had completely hatched sometime the night before or early in the day. They were completely dry and standing. So by my count that's 19 days maybe 18.
I have hatched many a chick by both hen and incubator. I have found it not unusual at all for eggs incubated by a hen to fully hatch at day 19. If the hen is one to only come off the nest once a day and stay off only 15 minutes or so a early hatch is not uncommon. This hen was in a dog crate and I let her out once a day to do what she needed to do and she only stayed off the nest 20 minutes at the most.

My japanese bantams ALWAYS hatch out early on day 19.. I learned that the hard way the first time when I was candling an egg right before taking the turner out and putting it on lockdown .. it was the morning of day 18 and the little egg started chirping at me when I shined the light through it! I put it right back in the incubator and it pipped an hour later, I couldn't believe the little guy actually made it! :)

This is my first time incubating. I have 1 bantam egg and 4 red jungle fowl eggs. Luckily all of them are fertile. It is day 3 and i see quite much in the eggs. But the 1 bantam egg is developing much quicker than the others. It is day 3 and i see the things inside that egg as if it is day 7. The others are on track . The bantam egg is from my favourite black cochin bantam

I have a black tail white Japanese bantam egg on day 11 should i worry about it hatching on day 19? Should I put it in the hatcher and have it in lockdown early?

My bantam eggs (Silkies) hatch out on the typical 21 day timeframe. UNLESS my temperature has been running a bit high. I have had them hatch out on days 19 and 20 (in the auto turner  ). If you're worried about when to lock them down, you could always wait until you hear peeping or see a pip.

Good luck.

the one I was worried about i think it quit on me

. But I have 2 more that are on days 10 and 11 sneaky kids put them in. it seems Japanese Bantams are really hard to hatch out because the gene they have.

I've hatched Seramas and Silkies and yes, most of them hatched at day 19 or 20 but sad to say they all have died 3 to 4 days after hatching.... I'm not gonna hatch bantams anymore too frustrating incubating and hatching them to loose them a couple days later.
