do BB bronze breed naturally?

I'm sure this has been asked, but I couldn't find it. I know the bb white will keel over with heart problems. Are the bb bronze able to breed? One of my little toms (6 weeks old) was strutting his stuff yesterday, trying to impress his girl. If they can, I'm thinking about keeping 1 tom and 2 hens...

Once they reach a more mature size a BB turkey cannot mate naturally. They are just too big to complete the deed. Breeders use AI for breeding the hens for eggs.

ahhh, that's what I figured-- I'll prob. get some bourbon reds next spring, or maybe this fall. Depends on $$$

corancher has a variety of heritage turkeys. I just received some eggs from them..very nice person to do business with and the eggs were packaged very well.

I did bourbon reds for Thanksgiving last year. I really want to keep a flock of wishard bronzes.

I don't right now have an incubator-- thinking on it though...

I've been wanting bourbons, they are so pretty! I got these this year because they were on sale at Meyer-- they're pretty too!!
