I am new to turkeys, but got my first BBB a week ago. They are straight run, but if I have a hen I want to be prepared. So, do BBB hens get broody easily? And any other advice or tips you have would be greatly appreciated - Thanks

No, I'm not trying to breed them, but if she goes broody, it would be fun to hatch some eggs.

BBB have to be artificially inseminated.
So even if she does go broody you have no chance of offspring's.

The BB hens can be successfully mated to heritage toms. For a couple of years, a neighbor had hatches from a Bourbon tom & BB hen. But BB-BB? Sperm collection & `turkey `basters''. pretty much.

Maybe. Don't know until you try.
You could buy the eggs and put them under a broody chicken.
I think you should look at what your intent is.
What is it you want to accomplish?

my turkey has gone broody 2 times since jan we have no tom so the first 14 were unfertile so i gave her baby chicks to raise and she took care of them like they were turkeys. And now she is sitting on 11 more but this time we may have a chance so let me know what you think she was making a lot of noise one late afternoon and when we looked out we saw her talking to 3 hens in the back woods of our house and during the day she would go missing and even spent the night out so what do you think the chances of her eggs being fertile this time she has been on them for almost a week and how long should i let her sit just in case they are fertile any info on this would be great
