Do Blue Australorps breed true?

I've heard that blue orpingtons, blue ameraucanas, and other blue colored chickens don't breed true (you can get 50% blue, 25% black, and 25% splash) but what about the blue australorps? Do they also not breed true?

That's how BBS breeding works, the chicks will be a range of colors. I think self blue (lavender) breeds true.

It's the same blue gene, so the same BBS (black/blue/splash) breeding pattern.

There is another gene that produces "blue" colored birds that does breed true. Sometimes that other gene is called "self blue" (confusing name), sometimes it's called "lavender." But it's not the gene found in any of the blue varieties you named.
