Do California Grey Hens Go Broody?

I was curious about the California Grey that was created using White Leghorns and Barred Plymouth Rocks. I can't find information on the broodiness of this breed. What is the broodiness of the California Grey?

I don't have any California Grey hens, but I do not think that they would be too broody. Neither White Leghorns or Barred Rocks are all that broody, so a cross made out of them likely wouldn't be that broody either. Also, California Greys produce large numbers of eggs and are lightweight. These two facts make them even less likely to be broody.

I was pretty sure they would not be very broody. But I was hoping that California Grey hens would once in a while go broody to allow a self-sustaining flock.

It is an interesting dual-purpose breed (although on the small side) that produces a lot of eggs. I suppose it would be a good dual-purpose breed if you didn't mind a small chicken to eat. The roosters are only 5 1/2 pounds. But that means they would not eat as much as their larger cousins the Plymouth Rock.
