I planted a new rose bush yesterday without even researching whether my chickens will go for it or not....so far so good.....will this last?

Mine will eat anything that doesn't eat them first. I think that their motto is, "the prettier and more expensive the plant, the tastier the treat."

Mine destroyed a climbing rose that was about a foot high.

I'm going to have to ask my friend for another start of hers.

They LOVE rose petals, geranium petals... let's see what else... they really are little pigs.

weird-i have a lot of roses.
they are most assuredly intolerant of geraniums and impatiens tho!

Mine leave the roses alone. Most of mine are cold-hardy shrub roses. Maybe not as sweet as tea roses?

Now hosta, that's a different story.

We have some wild roses thsat hang over the north fence and mine love to pluck the petals from the blossoms. It is comical to see them jump flat footed to get the petals. Oh, and peony (peonies?) petals, too.
