Do chickens hate red and do they hate it so much, that in great quantities, they can become crazed? I know that chickens usually have red combs and wattles, but they seem to be the most pecked compared to other parts of the chicken. I was wearing red p-j's today (I'm lazy ok) and my docile rooster attacked me. He seemed to attack me in an unorganized manner, you know how rooster would launch at you, grip your pant leg or shoelace with their beak, and repeatedly kick you with their legs. Well, he didn't do that, he made this agitated squeak, ran at my leg and launched into the air, this next part might sound weird, but he angled both legs at me, still in the air and fell over just in front of my foot squeaking angrily. Another time today, he puffed up, ran towards me, lightly bit my pant leg, and just smacked into my leg, falling over.
The red could be a coincidence.
Just a little background that might also explain his behavior, he is the only rooster, the roosters left about three days ago, he is a silver duckwing, he is a bit special. Also, he used to be hostile toward me and could easily become frustrated, he is now sweet and I taught him a few tricks, recently he has been ignoring me and is no longer jumping on my shoulder.

The other day, I was wearing a red t-shirt, and red short's out there. My rooster did sound an alarm at first, but settled down and went about his business once he heard my voice. I can walk anywhere out there and he has never even tried to attack me. I did have a hen out there yesterday that decided to fly up on my shoulder to get petted.

I've worn every color, including bright red and orange, out there, and nobody uses my outfit as an excuse to attack!
Having the senior rooster gone has changed this boy's place in the flock, and apparently he has some big ideas now. I hope you can work through this, but it doesn't sound promising!
When he gets his attack plan better organized, it won't be so funny...

I think the red is a coincidence probably. Part of your problem may be your familiarity with him. He doesn't view you as a human to be respected, but as a subordinate in the flock. With roosters, it's probably best to keep them out of your space, especially as they mature. There have been many cases where 'my cute sweet fluff ball has turned into a raging monster!', all because they never learned respect.

His unorganized attack is probably just because it's his first run. He'll likely be at you again, the next time in a much more serious way. Run him off and put him in is place. Don't let him get in your space, make sure he knows that.

The other option is soup of course, but I know many people are reluctant to do that (even myself at times).

Actually, (sorry for taking a while) he does respect me. He jumps on my shoulder and cuddles. I wore red pants and he attacked. The next day, wore more red pants, he attacked again. Third day, wore blue jeans, he jumped onto my shoulder, crawled under my hair, and purred. He only "attacks" other people and this is why I was thinking if it was the color red that upset him. Ever since he has been my little baby.
