Do chickens have the concept of being annoying?

I never thought of chickens having a complex social structure. Yesterday I was observing my chickens and noticed that Meatball was scratching the ground and Chickaletta decided just to lie down on that exact spot. Meatball continued to try to scratch in that spot and remove Chickaletta, but Chickaletta was staying put. It reminded me a little of my children.

Each chicken has their own personality! Mine make me laugh every day!
Meatball probably said something that Chickaletta didn't appreciate, so she returned the comment with an action.

I don't believe that they have the mindset to be aware of of themselves in personalities and action consequences beyond survival, but that's just because I don't think I've found research that says that. I totally feel like they do, just literally I'm not 100 percent sure

When one of my hens died, one of the hens followed me around for 3 days and seemed to ask where is she? It was quite unusual behavior. I think they know when one is gone. We added a rooster and big red started pecking me never did it before. So I think they can be annoyed or know when one is gone.
