I live in dusty, windy, dry Arizona, and I am getting dust storms and thunder storms. My girls like being in the run during these, not the protected part. I am worried about them, as a couple got swept of their feet tonight in the storm. Do they need protection? If so, what should I do? I am really confused!!!

They are choosing to be in the open area - but have a covered/protected area available, correct? (that is what I'm getting from your post) -- they will seek out protection when the feel the need, as long as you have it available leave them to it.

Thanks, and yes they do have protection. My brahmas looked a little frazzled this morning after a dust storm, but not hurt. Thanks!
