do chickens prefer bowls of water to the nipple system?

Pictures chicnchic? Pictures? I am with someone that said they have a problem with wild birds..sparrows! Arrrrgh!

My husband is great at fixin or makin anythin..

If the birds get enough water from them, which it sounds like they do with a test that's been done..I'm all for the "water dripper thingys."

BTW, love your purple! I have a bright red that isn't quite finished with the paint job.. has white trim. what do you think about adding purple to that..? Eye catcher ey? I think I actually like the idea.

Wait till I tell my husband that I want to add purple to our finishing job.

And I think Purple would be the perfect completion to your hen house as well! Sounds like it'll be as pretty as a Fuschia!

I think it was explained very well how they work but I can send a video if you like; will this forum support it? Or at least a picture of my chickens drinking from it. When they put their beak in to drink, they hit a little bar that releases more water. I don't have anything against nipple waterers, I just know that they get plenty of water from the cups and I like them. Just to clarify, the picture I sent is straight from the McMurry site since I have not taken one with my chickens.
