Do chickens stop laying eggs as they grow old ?

I have ISA Browns.

I bought eight the first time. They are now three years old and I have lost four of them.

When I purchased again I bought twelve and they are two years old. I still have all of them.

At this time I have a total of sixteen chickens who are laying nine or ten eggs a day or even less.

How can I tell which ones are laying? I would like to start culling them.

My 2 BSL's just celebrated their 7th birthday. I haven't seen an egg in 5 months. There are lots of feathers in their coop. I think maybe last year was there final laying year. The last cycle we got 94 eggs from Feb. 1st till July 1. So either they are on strike or done laying. We have 2 "pets".
