Do chickens usually lay in the morning

We have an early morning layer, an after 10 layer, and an afternoon layer......

I guess it comes down to whenever they are ready.....

I think ours lay all day too!

Our BR, Geraldine, was the first hen to lay, and she was producing an egg about 8am. The other BR's started laying as well, so usually by 1pm this week, there was an egg. But, I just went out about 11am, and no eggs. I'll check again about 3-ish....

Most days, we don't check until at least 4 or 5, because we're working. There's always some by then!

This is our first week of eggs (tiny pullet eggs are so stinking cute!) and we've consistently had 3 a day, with the exception of 1 day with just 1. Yesterday we got 4, and I think it came from a SLW my husband saw squatting in the nest!

Yumm I had some eggs this morning, the first eggs flavored with chicken happiness I ever ate!

The yolks were almost orange, and they tasted almost like cheese! YUMMMMMY

I got 5 eggs in 7 days. This is from my 7 month old RHode Island Red. I think thats pretty good for a young chicken. The eggs are small but we enjoyed them for breakfast and they were delicious. I really like my chickens.

I have 3 pullets they are all laying. I usually have one egg by 9am second before noon and the last one before 3 or 4. That's daily like clockwork. I know from the 3 different shades of color that they are laying around the same time each day. Mine aren't migrating out an hour.

From what i've learned the like to eat early in the morning and they don't stop laying till the sun goes down
