I work from home and have the brooder in my office. I get up early and spend about two hours with the babies, sort of doing yoga - but I tend to stop whenever I hear a cry or some other cute-sounding chirp/noise, to interact with the chicks in some way. Then, I get to work for 8-10 hours just a few feet away from the chicks - where they can see me. I then check on the chicks several times before they bed down for the night . . . .
Am I creating a situation where the chicks are going to get anxious when I'm not there? Is that possible?
I know I feel anxious when I'm away from them for too long. Good Grief.
