Do chicks shed????

I've been holding this chick that hatched today on my shirt for like an hour now. And when I move him I see all his little tiny furs on my shirt. Normal?

Well, I hope it is normal because all of the ones I hatch myself do that. I get tons of their fuzz all over me for the first day or two.

They will shed dander non-stop for the first 5 weeks. They really produce a lot of dust. I have to put a mask on sometimes when I'm working with the chicks.

Hah... that's a relief. Just one of those things I hadn't expected, but doesn't bother me at all. Just want them to be OK.
