Ok, Crazy question, but it's worth asking just to get a few responses. I ran to the poultry yard this evening because a duck was pitching a fit like one of my dogs had pinned it. When I got there, sure enough a Cayuga duck was pinned in a corner, but not by a dog....by two young, amorous Australorp roosters. I guess practice makes perfect.
But it got me to thinking....are chicken/duck crosses possible? I'm sure the offspring wouldn't be viable to hatch, but would it be possible for a rooster to fertilize a duck egg or a drake fertilize a chicken egg? Or Turkeys? Or Guineas? Or any of the 50 Frankenpoultry possibilities?
Can't wait to read the responses.
Thanks,
