I have 2 Dominiques that are 1 week old and 1 golden buff( golden commet) that are a week old. The 2 Dominiques still look tinny and the golden is getting feathers and her feet are getting big. Do they just grow slower? I know that they will be a bit larger than the goldens according to the hatchery website. Golden buffs adult hen4-5lbs and Dominique hens 5-6 lbs. I can really tell the difference when I hold them.

Thanks, I did forget that the buffs have been bread for egg production and mature earlier.

We just got 6 chicks last week, 2 Dominiques, 2 Ameracaunas, and 2 Buff Orpingtons...we are definitely noticing that the Doms are still pretty small compared to the others, but it's only been a week, and we are totally new to all this! They are adorable though; as soon as I figure out this site a little bit better I'll post some pics!

Ours are still the smallest. The other chick that is the same age as them is much bigger now. They still have tinny little feet. Now finally getting some more wing feathers slowly. So far they are the sweetest of the bunch. The will both climb in your hand at the same time. I am excited to see what they will look like as adults.

Here's some pics of them.
