OK, so.... Can anyone tell me if Drakes become less sexually aggressive with age? We are "hoping" that as the girls decline each year in laying....the boys won't feel the need to mate with them 30+ times a day???

Thanks!

He is about 9. He really slowed down this spring, which is good.

I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. Or maybe I'm crying so hard I'm laughing... 9? 9 years? 9 years of this????????

Wow.

OK...

Just think about the poor girls, sometimes I just pick my drake up and put him in the pool to cool him down some, geesh!

We have the boys separated from the girls...but, all they do all day long is pace the fence line. They have worn a path in the grass. I feel badly for them. But, the girls LOVE that the boys can't get to them. They are much more relaxed....just foraging, relaxing, napping...

After about five days, the boys get mad enough to "fly" over the 2 1/2 foot garden fence though...and all it takes is a morning or their "attentions"...and the girls necks look like hell again. So frustrating...
