    PotreroHillChickens New Egg

Well, we have four chickens and today, for the first time, we got four eggs. We have three older hens, who each lay about one a day. And we have a littler younger chicken, breed and age unknown, and she hadn't been laying. The last couple of days I found eggs in odd places that were also much darker, and sort of a long thin oval shape. We live in a city on a deck, so it isn't a stray chicken. But today's eggs are totally different colors. And shapes. Question: would eggs change shape and color. From dark brown to creamy rosy brown?

It's possible, on the shape--I had one that was laying long, skinny oval eggs when she first started. She has since 'rounded out' in her egg shape.
Not sure about the color changing though...maybe a slight difference is possible?
