Do electrical storms cause performance anxiety ?

Normally we get 9 - 13 eggs a day . Today it stormed, thundered, poured, lightning all day and I got a grand total of 1 egg and that 1 egg was from the chicken currently in the HOUSE in a rubbermaid tub due to dog injuries on her bum. Granted they were big storms , but I've never had a ZERO eggs in the coop day ....
 
I think its the weather we are having lately, I've really seen a drop in eggs too over the past 2 or so weeks. My 2 best girls; I think are wanting to go broody, but I dont have any eggs for them.

but yes, a wicked storm can put them off. They will pick right back up again. You may even see a few double yolkers over the next couple days.


I have to tell you, your avatar pic makes my mouth water, dh is from Indiana, and the corn there is oohh lala

I had 10 yesterday so it wasn't a gradual decline it was just * poof * nothing and I'd never seen it before and had to ask ! Thought it couldnt be coincidence ! mmmmmmmm Indiana corn
