Do flock dynamics affect broodiness?

Question: I know that Wyandottes are prone to broodiness, but ours is also low chicken in the pecking order. She seems so much happier now that she has babies to run around with (we bought some day-old chicks and slipped them under her since we don’t have a rooster). Has anyone noticed a connection between pecking order and broodiness?
